About the event:
We hosted our first-ever 5-a-side charity tournament—and it was a huge success! Held at Powerleague Shepherd’s Bush, the event brought together 12 teams made up of our customers, partners, and Uptickers come together for a day of friendly competition, all in the name of raising funds for charity.
The day was filled with intense matches, camaraderie, and plenty of support from the sidelines. In the end, Definitive Security Solutions came out on top, taking home the cup, while Millwood Servicing claimed the plate.
But while those teams claimed the trophies, the real winners were the charities we supported: London’s Air Ambulance Charity, The Fire Fighters Charity, and Help for Heroes.
We initially set a fundraising goal of £1,000. However, thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, we surpassed that target and raised a whopping £1,900. This means £900 each for London’s Air Ambulance Charity and The Fire Fighters Charity, plus £100 for Help for Heroes.
A huge thank you goes to our sponsor CONXTD for supporting the event, and a special mention to Barry Clayton from Texecom Ltd, Jessica Mann from JM Marketing, Adam Beale from Fire Equipment Maintenance, Greg Linehan from FISK GROUP, and Aaron O from Eruptible Marketing for their support by donating prizes for the raffle.
This event marks the start of something great, and plans are already in motion for next year’s tournament. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, or came along to support the cause.
